So...the project is chugging along nicely. I try to get in as many interviews with Bill as new things come up all the time...I truly love to get footage of when Bill is working in his yard or on stage. Some folks have asked me what sort of equipment I use...the answer is what ever I can get my hands on. I have been using various cameras which I own like a jvc everio and cannon vixia HD which takes beautiful footage...these I take with me on the road with me... For local shoots I have occasionally used a jvc HDpro and I also lavaliere this camera to my telephone for audio interviews...it works great. I like the idea of mixed cameras...different cameras can give you different texture...this is an art piece not a Hollywood production.

Its been a challenge in getting actual musicians from Bills day to give their perspective on sound and scene. I have had several interviews with Bill and Terry (Bills Brother) at his old house in Medford , Bill s 75th birthday party etc and Stan Miller who has been Neil Diamonds sound man for 40 + years. I hope to spend the day with Stan at the Boston Garden in June. I also hope to spend some time interviewing Wavy Gravy this Summer at the Gathering of the Vibes. More to come...
